Beauty standards have been renowned over the years for changing drastically at the drop of a hat as the beauty industry has begun to shift its approach of what the standard is or to be in the industry size. The generations upon in generations, we have seen an incredible amount of focus on not only how the beauty industry has impacted our perception of the self, but also how it has had decidedly negative impacts on not only how beauty perception is understood but also how we can move forward towards a healthier and better future for everyone as consumers.
In recent years especially, we have seen a fundamental shift in how beauty standards have been approached and understood across the board and around the globe. And what it has ultimately come down to is that consumers are more aware and more understanding than ever of the fact that the approach that the booty standard has taken in past years has been unhealthy (to say the least). While it has been quite a work in progress to get to this point and there is still significant work to be done, we have definitely begun to shift in the right direction. And that is something to celebrate and to be proud of and to continuously support.
Balancing out the beauty industry
Creating and maintaining and building upon balance in the beauty industry is quite an ongoing work in progress, to say the least. When it comes to balancing out the beauty industry, it is all about appreciating and understanding that the beauty industry of the past is one that was decidedly exclusive in not only its representation but in the products and services that it offered to the public. And the process of beginning to balance out the building industry and bring about healthier changes has definitely been one that has been a work in progress that has taken some time to be able to get to this point.
Prioritising inclusivity and representation
There is an incredible amount to be said about the fact that the prioritisation of inclusiveness of idea and representation both in marketing and products and services, is just getting started. The active prioritisation of these keys has spelt the beginning of the healthiest and most exciting era in beauty yet and the fact is that we are beginning to see even the most traditionally inclined beauty empires begin to take notes and shift their directive. As long as interest and investment meet necessity and opportunity, there is every likelihood if not every certainty that the future of the beauty industry and of individuals buying into it is going to be healthier and more exciting than ever before.
Products and services mirror this new standard
Of course, like never before we are seeing a reality come to life where the products and services are mirroring the new industry standard that promotes inclusiveness across the board. Whether it is the introduction of the latest collagen serum or the release of an entirely inclusive range of foundations that match every possible skin toner good ever imagined, the reality is that products and services in the beauty industry are becoming better and better as time goes on. This is expected to be just the tip of the iceberg with the best still yet to come.
